Game: Okamiden

Cue extremely bias views of a game I have been dieing to play for ages.

Okamiden is the sequel to Okami on the PS2 and Wii. The story is based around the adventures of Chibirasu the son of Ammy from the first game. Even though the game is now based on the DS the story hasn't been turned into a child proof cute mess and has been given a rating of 12+ just to make sure. (Even though parents will still by it for kids in their naive belief that all Nintendo games are for kids)

This time the game relies on you controlling not only Chibi but his large selection of friends he meets along the way, each with their own ability's. So instead of Issan jumping up and down on his back you have to start with the son of Susano and Kushi called Kuni sitting on your back swinging his sword around.

It still has the same areas as the first game but also the odd extra area such as the village you start in which specialise in medicine and shops which later on will help with some smaller quest and helping characters.

Like the first game this is a fun and at times well written game, the story may be at time similar to the first game but with the new characters it is still a good stand alone game.

 score:
9½ / 10
(only because of the sudden time travel story plot that started to get tedious at the end. )

Game: Dragon Age: Orgins

Yes I know slow to the plate here.

I have kept as far away from Bioware games for a while due to the fact I have no urge to play them, not that I hate them just as I said above I have no URGE what so ever to play them. Until now.

I was told by a slightly troll like friend that being a fan of fantasy games I should play this since as I quote " the first 6 hours are brilliant"

Only the first 6 hours? How long is the game? Very long it seems.

I am 28 hours in and I have yet to get to the end and so far I have all but two characters left to get for my party I have been told. But I did accident kill one ( Sorry Wynne, Morrigan told me to do it ) so I have one left to find.
So far its been a lot of fun and I most admit even I couldn't help my ogle the sprite of the Forrest (such lovely...hair) pic related.
To my better judgement I romanced Alister after I had given him his feast day gift not realising it does +50 approval. ( He went from hating me to trying to sweet talk me to his tent in a matter on seconds)

The romance option is fun, too bad from a female character point of view all the men aside from Alister are a bit off in a Stoic way or trying to get in your pants every minute way.( first time I have ever heard an elf with an italian accent)

But hey the story is more important so screw that (pun not intended).

The game is a good fantasy romp and I have always wanted to play an elf in a fantasy game.
Now I can.
The game play is confusing at first compared to the usual RPG style of fantasy fighting, but it makes you feel like you are in control, more so once you get used to the tactics system.

Score so far:
8/10
since I have yet to complete that game and see a decent ending.

Anime: Tiger and Bunny

Finally something fun to watch.

Tiger and Bunny is in short a super hero show where super heroes are sponsored by big brands, of which you don't really notice after a while except when blue rose does her big sing and dance about Pepsi (pic below of blue rose).

The show introduces you to a list of colourful and fun heroes and a simple explanation as to how they have their ability's or as they quote them as being people know as "next" ( well I think its called next) I assume a subtle way of saying people with powers and I hope later in the show they explain in detail the main reason.

The one reason I love this show is for the range of characters in the show and their interaction with each other. It seems hero wise everyone knows each other in some way and are more then happy to have a drink after hours.

Kotetsu/tiger is the life of the show and MC, you can't help but love him and his awkward attempts and being popular. He never gets a break but tries hard to be a good hero and sticking to what he believes in. His interaction with Barnaby/bunny is hilarius and so much fun to watch and see what they do next.
(Bunny, Bunny, bunny)

My only fault so far with the show is the villains, we have yet to have a crazy villain to go with all these heroes but to be fair a crazy villain might just be to cliche for the show and might not be pulled off well, if done at all.

Other then that a fun show for all to enjoy and I hope more to come.

General score so far:
9/10
